We dream of a world in which people who navigate the prison system are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. In which we acknowledge the systemic barriers that underlay this system and recognize the inherent humanity of all people. Our ambitions with SpiritHouse include forming an all formerly incarcerated theatre troupe, hiring positions for formerly incarcerated individuals at the nonprofit, and a one-woman theatre show based on stories from incarcerated participants to call for community action.

Together we can reduce recidivism, build community, and provide skills to support individuals in living their most fulfilled lives. We hope you will join us in building this dream.
